Four women have died following a head-on collision on the R23 between Volksrust and Perdekop in Mpumalanga.
Fatal crash involving sedan and truck
The collision occurred on Friday night, 23 April 2026, and involved a sedan and a truck.
All four victims were female passengers travelling in the sedan.
Several injured in the crash
Four other occupants of the sedan sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.
The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries.
All injured individuals were transported to a hospital in Standerton for further medical treatment.
