A search is continuing for 27-year-old Serah-Lee Venter, a mother of two who was last seen in Theresapark, Akasia, north of Pretoria, on 29 September 2026.

Venter’s family and friends are appealing to the public for information that could help establish her whereabouts after she disappeared more than two weeks ago.

According to information released in a missing-person appeal, Venter was last seen while on foot in the Theresapark area. She was reportedly wearing blue shorts and a blue sleeveless T-shirt.

Her disappearance has prompted appeals for assistance from residents in Theresapark, Pretoria North, Akasia and surrounding communities.

Family And Friends Appeal For Information

Venter is the mother of two children, aged nine years and six months.

Her loved ones have expressed concern about her disappearance and are urging anyone who may have seen her or has information about her movements to come forward.

A friend, Klarize van Graan, told The Citizen that the family and friends were under considerable stress and had only discovered over the weekend before the report was published that Venter was missing.

Van Graan also said Venter’s cellphone was switched off.

Friends and family have circulated missing-person notices and distributed posters to organisations in an effort to locate her.

The appeal states that even information that may appear insignificant could assist efforts to establish what happened to Venter after she was last seen.

Description Of Missing Woman

Venter is 27 years old and has dyed blonde hair and green eyes. She is described as having a petite build and a distinctive tattoo on the right side of her collarbone.

At the time of her last known sighting on 29 September, she was reportedly wearing blue shorts and a blue sleeveless T-shirt.

Members of the public who may have encountered someone matching her description in Theresapark or nearby areas are being asked to report any relevant information to the authorities.

Her disappearance has been recorded with police. The missing-person appeal lists Occurrence Book reference number OB 757/10/2026.

No confirmed public information has established the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

Separate Pretoria Incident Raises Public Concern

The search for Venter comes amid attention surrounding a separate incident in the Klerksoord area, northeast of the Rosslyn industrial area, on the evening of Monday, 12 October.

In that incident, a man and a woman reportedly went into the hills to pray when two men approached them and offered to accompany them, allegedly saying it was dangerous for them to walk alone.

According to information provided by police spokesperson Captain Johan van Dyk, the pair were allegedly robbed of their belongings at a remote location.

The male victim reportedly managed to escape and seek assistance, leaving the woman behind. A search operation was subsequently launched amid initial fears that she had been kidnapped.

The operation involved several response teams, including Tshwane Metro Police Department members, AfriForum Noord van die Berg, the Emergency Support Team and private security personnel. Drone and K9 units were also deployed during the search.

The woman was later found safe at home, with reports indicating that she had made her way there while search teams were still looking for her.

Police confirmed that they were investigating a case of common robbery.

Although the two incidents have prompted public concern about the safety of women in the Pretoria area, no verified information has established a connection between the Klerksoord robbery and Venter’s disappearance.

There is currently no confirmed public evidence that the incidents involved the same suspects or circumstances.

No Confirmed Explanation For Venter’s Disappearance

As the search continues, the circumstances surrounding Venter’s disappearance remain unclear.

Information circulating on social media should not be treated as confirmed evidence, and claims about possible abduction or links to other incidents should not be presented as fact without verification from police or investigators.

The priority remains establishing Venter’s whereabouts and obtaining credible information that could assist the investigation.

Her family and friends continue to appeal to the public to share accurate information and contact the appropriate authorities if they know anything that could help locate her.

How To Report Information

Anyone with information about Serah-Lee Venter’s whereabouts can call or WhatsApp 076 905 8874, the contact number published in the family’s missing-person appeal.

Information can also be reported to the nearest police station, quoting Occurrence Book reference OB 757/10/2026.

Anyone who believes they have seen Venter is encouraged to provide the location, date and any other relevant details to the authorities rather than relying on unverified social media posts.
