Valentine’s Day Tragedy: Boyfriend Arrested After Woman’s Body Found in Lenyenye

Lenyenye, Limpopo – February 15, 2026 – Police have arrested a man believed to be the boyfriend of a woman whose body was found dumped at Vento Park outside Lenyenye on Saturday, February 14.

The body was discovered on Valentine’s Day when a passerby spotted it and alerted members of the community, who then contacted the authorities. Police and emergency services responded to the scene.

Preliminary investigations have linked the murder to the woman’s boyfriend, who was allegedly living with her at the time. He was taken into custody for questioning.

Tragic High-Speed Crash on the N2 Near Shakas Head Leaves One Dead and One Seriously Injured

Emergency services were called to the scene of a devastating high-speed collision on the N2 highway near Shakas Head in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident occurred just after midnight on February 14, 2026, when two vehicles travelling in the same direction collided with significant force. Both vehicles left the roadway following the impact, coming to rest off the carriageway.

Paramedics from IPSS Medical Rescue arrived swiftly at the location and immediately began treating the occupants.

One driver, who was behind the wheel of one of the vehicles, sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Despite all efforts, he was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle suffered serious injuries. IPSS Medical Rescue paramedics provided advanced life support on site to stabilise the patient before transporting him by ambulance to a nearby hospital for urgent further medical care.

No further details regarding the identities of the drivers or the specific makes and models of the vehicles have been released at this time.

SANDF Intercepts Stolen Toyota Corolla Cross Near Beitbridge Border

Members of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) have recovered a stolen vehicle during operations along the South Africa-Zimbabwe border near Beitbridge.

The vehicle, a Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 Hybrid XS valued at R443,900, was reported stolen at Sinoville Police Station in Gauteng Province.

Acting on information received and in collaboration with the South African Police Service (SAPS) and Tracker Company personnel, SANDF members from the 1 South African Tank Regiment were requested to assist in tracing the vehicle while on vehicle patrol in the border area.

The soldiers closed off possible escape routes and successfully located and intercepted the vehicle at Sediba sa Tau.

The recovered Toyota Corolla Cross was transported to the Soutpansberg Military Area, which serves as a SAPS vehicle pound for further processing and investigation.

Colonel Dikgabane Herold Tladi commended the SANDF members involved for their alertness and effective response in preventing the smuggling of the stolen vehicle across the border.
