Modjadjiskloof – In the early hours of Thursday, 27 November 2025, a joint police and security operation led to the arrest of a man suspected of multiple housebreaking and theft incidents in the Modjadjiskloof area, Limpopo.
Acting on intelligence received, members of Modjadjiskloof Crime Prevention, Modjadjiskloof Detectives, Westfalia Security, and Canine Security, under the command of the Modjadjiskloof Acting Station Commander, proceeded to a residence in Makhuruperji Village, Mopani District.
The suspect was found asleep inside the house. During a search of the premises, police recovered a 9mm Norinco Star pistol and a magazine. No live ammunition was found with the firearm.
The man was immediately arrested and is scheduled to appear in the Kgapane Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 28 November 2025. He faces charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of suspected stolen property. Additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
Limpopo Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, praised the swift and coordinated response of all units involved, stating that the operation demonstrates ongoing efforts to combat crime and enhance community safety in the province.
