Trenance Park, KZN – A 30-year-old woman was injured in a hit-and-run accident on Old Inanda Road near Trenance Park in KwaZulu-Natal on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred while the woman and her husband were walking along the road, pushing their three-year-old child in a stroller. According to the husband, a black VW Polo Vivo struck his wife before the driver fled the scene, heading toward Trenance Park. The vehicle’s registration number remains unknown.
A Reaction Officer from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), who was on patrol in the area at the time, received an alert about the pedestrian-vehicle collision. Upon arriving at the site, the officer found the injured woman lying on the side of the roadway.
The victim suffered injuries to her head and legs. She was transported to a hospital by private means for medical treatment. No further details on her condition were immediately available.
Authorities have not yet identified the driver or the vehicle involved in the accident. The matter is under investigation, with RUSA personnel responding promptly to the initial report.
